Stop a Bully
Fabianna Pergolizzi knows what it's like to be bullied: her middle and high school years were filled with "daily emotional, physical, and mental pain." Now a senior at Georgetown, in 2007 she started Project Anti-Bully, a nonprofit run by students for students. One of their efforts: To show youngsters they are not alone, PAB distributes blank pieces of paper to students, teachers, parents and others in a school district and has them write supportive and empowering messages that are given to victims of bullying. Your $10 gift pays for 2,000 sheets of paper. Learn more at www.projectbully.com.
