WEConnect International is a 501(c)(3) corporate led non-profit that helps to empower women business owners to succeed in global markets. When women start and grow businesses they create jobs, help the economy and improve communities. WEConnect provides the knowledge, networks, certification and platform women business owners need to reach new markets and prosper. We partner with a range of supporting organizations to identify and certify businesses that are at least 51% owned, managed and controlled by one or more women. WEConnect upholds the universal certification standard developed in collaboration with the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) in the United States.

Certification

WEConnect International defines a certified women's business enterprise (WBE) as a company that is at least 51% owned, managed and controlled by one or more women and has completed the WEConnect certification process which determines compliance with WEConnect certification criteria. Certification assures corporate buyers they are purchasing from a female supplier.

Self-Registration

A self-registered business is a company that is at least 51% owned, managed and controlled by one or more women and has self-registered in the WEConnect database. There are millions of women-owned businesses globally that meet our certification criteria, yet due to geographic constraints certification is not yet available. Self-registration allows women globally (with exception to U.S. and Canada) to network and partner with other women-owned businesses globally.

Corporate Membership

Multinational corporations join WEConnect International to identify women owned businesses to satisfy their local content and global contract demands. WEConnect upholds universal standards for certification developed in collaboration with the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) in the United States.
