The Guardian kicks off a new edition of its Global Development podcast focused on how women around the world are affected by the financial crisis. The aim of the podcast, which will feature a woman’s-rights adviser at ActionAid International, The Guardian’s women’s editor and the World Bank’s director of gender and development along with some women in New Delhi, is to generate ideas for reversing modern-day gender discrimination.
