Scholar Spotlight: The Discoverer

Name: Bonnie Lei
Age: 20
Hometown: Los Angeles
School: Harvard '15
Major: Biology & Global Health
Why she's amazing: For starters, at age 20 she's already discovered a new species of sea slug—and lived with endangered African penguins. She also co-founded the Food Lab for Kids, where Harvard students educate local youth about nutrition with a food science-based approach.
In her own words: "I have a dream that when tomorrow comes, our planet will remain lush and teeming with life. I realize that to accomplish this, I will need to have the synergetic power of other great leaders by my side. Meeting other inspiring young women with their own visions for a better world will be a major catalyst for my own work and dreams."
